Each semester, in order to celebrate and increase our ties as sisters, we organize a series of fun and exciting events for our members. This year, these included Theta Talks (our own version of Ted Talks), a cupcake decorating party, mini golf outings, a sorority-wide day at the beach, and weekly family dinners. A chapter-wide favorite sisterhood event is Back In Black, a girls night at the beginning of each semester where we get to catch up after being away for summer or winter break, eat lots of pizza, and do karaoke!

Upon joining Theta, each new member receives a Big Sister (Big) who provides her Little Sister (Little) with support and friendship. The links between Bigs and Littles form a Theta Family. To celebrate the family's newest Littles, the Bigs organize a week of activities, gifts, and fun for the new members. Throughout the week, these events give the Little clues as to who her Big is. At the end of the week, there is a Revelation Ceremony where you find out who your Big is. These bonds formed between Big and Little Sisters continue long after their time at William & Mary is finished.
Clue Week
sisterhood Events
At Theta, we believe the bonds of sisterhood are something that can never be broken. We feel so grateful to be surrounded by a group of such charismatic, intelligent, and caring women. Aside from the formally planned events, Thetas are always hanging out together. In fact, you can always find a group of girls occupying our notorious Red Couches in the Theta House watching an episode of Gilmore Girls or recapping the events from the weekend! Even nightly dinners and study sessions are an opportunity for us to bond as sisters. It is always such a joy to walk into the Theta house and be welcomed by such warm and loving sisters!
